Do you know the catechism of the Catholic Church? Welcome to the Catholic parish of St James. As we enter the age of new media, we have provided various links to websites that might interest you on the subjects of God, morality, man, science, culture and history. Included are some of the most intellectual figures of our time, like Bishop Fulton Sheen.
Built in 1880 in the suburb of St James and situated on the False Bay coast between Muizenberg and Kalk Bay, this suburb derives its name from the early church . Most of the surrounding suburb was built between 1910 and 1950 after the railway line was built connecting Cape Town to False Bay.
Services offered by the church, which include marriages, baptisms, funerals and confirmation classes can be booked through the parish priest, Fr Andrew Cox. If you require any information email us and we will do what we can to help.
If you are an existing member of our parish or if you are new you can fill out our Parish Census/Registration form below and send it back to us via email.
